Power of words.

Content is everything…yes it is. No matter how much do you “wow” at the designs or “superb!!” at the colours, we still believe, content is everything.

They add meaning to everything they cling to. From gift boxes to greeting cards or for that matter an advertisement, it’s words that make what they are. The testimony to this are those long copy ads which make even the most “design-loving” people go through those long paras (we’re talking about those really strong copy work).

Another example or proof to the ‘power of words’ is the social platform like Facebook or Twitter where we all have created a small little world, largely through words. This post comes as a tribute to all the writers out there who till now believed that copy works only when design works, as it is what they are forced to believe. But trust us (on this) that content is and will always be the crux to creating emotions in hearts, mumbling thoughts in brains and tickling memories in heads… visuals just support them, though intensely.

Words – for the depressed, they are inspiration; for the lonely, they are the best company (flip through a book or indulge in a story); for the happy, they are carriers of emotions; for the sad, they curl up in heart or come out in tears…THEY are really something.

Words thus inspire, help you conspire, develop insights, build-up dramas, trigger actions, propose solutions to the biggest of problems and may also create issues, if not used wisely. Visuals need to buck up to catch up.

So when people say, “a picture is worth a thousand words”, you can stand up and give it a nod in ‘no’ Only writers would dare, we know!
